Coming, 2026: A Deeper Approach to Recovery
-
Addiction isn’t failure,
it's just missing the mark.
Challenging addiction is an opportunity for a fresh and more meaningful start to the pilgrimage of life - a heroic pilgrimage that’s simply taken a temporary detour.
In my humble experience, addiction is an indicator pointing to a deep hunger for something more meaningful - something divine. Not necessarily something religious, but definitely something Divine.
This "something" varies from person to person, but it often reflects a burning light that becomes a destructive inferno when it learns how to grasp for truth in unhealthy ways. It strives with hands that were never taught how to properly hold the eager power of our innermost needs as they seek to be acknowledged and leveraged for constructive use.
And that's when addiction takes us on a life detour - an attempted shortcut to satiation via the ever-present temptations of distraction and quick-fixes instead of the high road toward a more rigorous understanding.
That’s perfectly okay - until it isn't - and that decision is completely up to you, as is the way in which you correct the course of your own personal pilgrimage.

Here’s the good news:
There's a way to interrupt and then wholly transfigure the loop of addiction. There's a way to resolve it permanently and for some, there's a way to understand it enough to regain a position of healthy choice. It can come naturally, without having to white-knuckle every day.
Together, we can learn how to seek healthy replacements for addiction that bring relief far better than any substance - and you can learn how to despise the things and the feelings that you once craved.
Accomplishing this is a philosophically simple but practically complex and dynamic process that is only clarified through the perspective of experience and the science of genetics, biology, reason, self-awareness, and occasionally your higher power.
That's where One Sober Human comes in as a tested hand - a hand to first steady yours before collaboratively crafting unique, efficient, and personally effective practices. If needed, we will also gather vetted outside resources. Ultimately, we will create a recovery path designed just for you.
But it all begins with the support of an enlightened community. That community can begin with One Sober Human (me) and one sober human (you) can begin with one simple action - right here and right now.
